A new restaurant will move into the CambridgeSide Galleria food court this spring, bringing fast, customizable pizzas to hungry shoppers. PizzaRev, a Los Angeles-based fast-casual restaurant concept, crept its way across the country and will now set up shop in Cambridge, according to a press release.

PizzaRev has locations across California and in Colorado, Nevada, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Texas, according to its website, with more locations coming soon in New York, Ohio, Tennessee, and elsewhere. The restaurant embraces a counter-style ordering system, where guests can choose their dough, sauce, and toppings and get a crispy, hot-from-the-oven pizza in fewer than three minutes.

PizzaRev offers gluten-free dough, along with more than 30 toppings, including cheese, meats, and vegetables that are all available at no extra cost. Once a customer has selected the dough, sauce, and toppings, the pizza gets cooked in a stone oven at 900 degrees.

PizzaRev is not the first customizable pizza chain to announce a move to Cambridge. Blaze Pizza — another fast-casual chain that operates with a similar model of Chipotle-style counter service, customizable toppings, and lightning-fast pizza — will be opening soon at 1 Canal Park, around the corner from CambridgeSide, as previously reported.

PizzaRev also offers a selection of "our way pizzas," with pre-determined toppings, as well as make-your-own salads, cake truffles, and Oreo dessert pizza.
