A Philadelphia-based coffee shop is getting ready to open its first Boston location next month, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. La Colombe Coffee is moving into 745 Atlantic Ave. this April, bringing its coffees and cafe treats to the Leather District.
The coffee shop has various locations in Philadelphia and other stores in Washington, DC; New York; and Chicago. Its move to Boston is part of a large-scale expansion that is in the works for the company, as previously reported. La Colombe is now hiring for its Boston cafe, according to a post on Craigslist that invites "coffee lovers and day-makers" to apply for full- and part-time barista positions.
La Colombe's co-founders Todd Carmichael and JP Iberti have worked to responsibly source the coffee served in the cafes around the country. The company also offers wholesale beans and sells a wide selection of its beans online and in stores.
