A second location of a Jamaica Plain burger restaurant officially opened yesterday with decadent burgers and cocktails. The new Grass Fed is located in the former Tonic space at 3698A Washington St., right across from Forest Hills Station, and it boasts some specialty burgers that will be exclusive to the location, as previously reported.
The restaurant's owner, Krista Kranyak (Ten Tables), opened the original location at 605 Centre St. in March 2012, offering a variety of burgers and milkshakes, among other tasty treats. For the new restaurant, Kranyak has an 18-foot bar and a full liquor license. The menu looks similar to the original one but features some special burgers not available at the first location, like The Hawaiian (served with fried spam, seared pineapple, lettuce, and Sriracha mayo) and the Forest Hills (Swiss cheese, kraut, bacon, a fried pickle, and Thousand Island dressing). And don't worry, those boozy milkshakes are on the menu, too. This new Grass Fed boasts some chalkboard tables and will also have an outdoor patio. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner daily from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., although lunch service begins at noon today (March 23).
