A Newburyport-based restaurant is heading inland to set down noodle-filled roots in Chelmsford. Andiamo Restaurant + Bar, which is the work of chef and owner James Rogers and specializes in Italian dishes, opens its second location soon and is now hiring employees, according to a post on Craigslist.
The new Andiamo will be in the Chelmsford Town Center building at 18 Boston Rd., with 4,845 square feet of space. It will have an open-concept kitchen and a wood-fired oven, according to North Shore Magazine.
"I am so excited to bring our signature restaurant experience and unique twist on traditional recipes to the next level in a new area," Rogers told the magazine.
Some of Andiamo's dishes include pappardelle al cinghiale, made with hand-rolled wide noodles, braised wild boar ragu, and wild mushrooms; Sicilian eggplant cakes; roasted butternut squash salad; and assorted flatbreads. The restaurant also makes its own mozzarella, burrata, ravioli, sausage, and focaccia, according to its website.
