A popular Brookline Village sandwich place completed its remodel and reopened today with an extra 600 feet of space. Cutty's Sandwich Shop now spans two storefronts on Washington Street after the shops owners Rachel and Charles Kelsey launched a Kickstarter campaign back in October to fund the expansion.
After raising $30,457, Cutty's closed for renovations to incorporate the former hair salon next door at 280 Washington St. Renovations took a bit longer than expected, but the shop is now ready to go, with a different counter setup and more room for customers to enjoy the shop's range of breakfast and lunch sandwiches.
The Kelseys previously told Eater they were excited to have more space, making the shop "more comfortable for guests and our team." An expanded menu may come further down the road, but for now, they are focusing on making sure the new systems function properly.
Cutty's is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday and will have its first monthly Super Cluckin' Sunday in the new space this weekend, where the only sandwich available from 10 a.m. until they run out will be the Buttermilk Fried Chicken sandwich. (Also available: drinks, house-made chips, and hand pies.)
