It's just six-tenths of a mile from headquarters, but Union Square Donuts will open a temporary satellite location at 1075 Cambridge St. in Cambridge's Inman Square, Boston Magazine reports. The space, which is owned by next-door neighbor Clover, was once home to Grillo's Pickles. While the initial lease is just two months long, it may continue beyond that depending on how it's received, co-owner Heather Schmidt told the magazine.
Starting this Friday, March 4, the new shop will be open daily from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. (or until supplies run out.) The doughnut brand is now also available at Boston Public Market downtown, at The Innovation and Design Building in the Seaport, and, seasonally, at various farmers' markets around the area.
