A specialty food cafe with a bit of an erudite vibe is on its way to Reading this month. Professor's Market is set to open on February 22, bringing artisan foods, locally sourced products, prepared meals, and more to 505 Main St., according to the shop's website.
A post on Craigslist indicates Professor's Market is hiring for cafe staff and baristas ahead of its set opening date, suggesting that freshly brewed coffee and other items will also be served, in addition to the local and imported products like charcuterie, cheese, pasta, produce, pastries, and more. The location of the market was previously a Quizno's sub shop.
The proposed hours for Professor's Market, when it opens, are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
