Opening day is here for Juliet, the first permanent restaurant from the Bread & Salt Hospitality team. (Look inside.)
Located at 257 Washington St. in Somerville's Union Square (the former Sherman Cafe space), Juliet takes breakfast seriously. Snag one of the six counter seats for a full-service, prix fixe French- or Japanese-inspired breakfast, or go the more casual route — there are pastries, breakfast tacos, tartines, and more. Plenty of the options are meant to be commuter-friendly, since there's a bus stop right outside. There's also seating available for diners who aren't going the full-service route. Breakfast is served from 7 a.m to 11 a.m.
Lunch time (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.) means soups, salads, sandwiches, snacks, and charcuterie, with larger dinner plates appearing on the menu after 4 p.m. Juliet is currently open until 7 p.m., although dinner hours may evolve in the future depending on neighborhood need and the availability of a liquor license.
