A local coffee shop has plans to open a third location, this time in Roslindale. P.S. Gourmet Coffee has applied for a common victualler license for 4252 Washington St., where Vouros Pastry Shop used to be before it closed last May after 45 years in business.
P.S. Gourmet, which has locations in Dorchester and South Boston, was first established as a coffee spot and convenience store in Perkins Square in 1986. The shop as it's known today was reimagined, rebranded, and refocused more on coffee alone in 2004, and the Dorchester location came along in 2012.
The coffee shop has more than 100 flavors of coffee, including its house blend and what's called the PS Special, and it does not use syrups for flavoring. It features a "flavor of the day," which could be anything from brownie toffee crunch to banana hazelnut. P.S. Gourmet also serves raspberry lime rickeys, tea, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, toast, and pastries.
