A local outpost of D.C.-based salad chain Sweetgreen (372 Congress St. in Boston's Fort Point) is temporarily closed, reports Boston Restaurant Talk. The company tweeted today that the closure will last "until further notice" because of "construction upstairs."
After initially landing in Boston with a Back Bay location in June 2013, the quick-service chain has expanded around the area with locations in Chestnut Hill, Lynnfield, and another in Back Bay (in the Pru). A Downtown Crossing location is slated to open early this year, followed by Fenway this summer.
The Fort Point location, which opened in April 2014, is typically open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.
UPDATE, 2/24: Sweetgreen has reopened and doesn't anticipate further construction closings.
