A fast-casual restaurant is getting ready to open in the former East by Northeast space in Inman Square. WuBurger, founded by Kal Gullapalli and Deepak Diwan in Woburn, has its second location nearly finished and could open in the middle of next month, if the necessary approvals come through.
Gullapalli tells Eater that everything is on track so far. They have done some hiring, and "the team is coming together."
The WuBurger concept centers around food that is "consciously sourced and crafted with love," according to its website. The burgers, sandwiches, and hot dogs the restaurant offers use locally sourced ingredients, and ice cream from Richardson Farms in Middleton is also on the menu.
The Inman Square restaurant has secured a liquor license, Diwan previously told BDC Wire, and may serve boozy milkshakes.
WuBurger's Woburn location opened last September.
