One burrito chain out, another burrito chain in. So it goes in Brighton and now in Coolidge Corner, as Los Amigos prepares to take over another former Boca Grande Taqueria location. According to a sign now hanging over the former Beacon Street location of Boca Grande, the fast-casual burrito place Los Amigos will be opening soon in the space.
Boca Grande closed earlier this month. The windows of the restaurant were papered over and crews were working inside the restaurant on Sunday.
Los Amigos, which has two other locations in Newtonville and West Roxbury, is already set to move into 366 Washington St. in Brighton, where another Boca Grande recently closed. The chain serves similar fare to that of Boca Grande, meaning the residents of Coolidge Corner won't have to change up their routines too much.
The Los Amigos menu features burritos, quesadillas, salad bowls, tacos, and more, all available with a wide selection of fillings, including grilled or spicy chicken, steak, carnitas, plantains, veggies, mushrooms, shrimp, or grilled tilapia.
When the restaurants open, the Coolidge Corner Los Amigos (1294 Beacon St.) and the location in Brighton will be the third and fourth outposts of this local chain.
