Union Square Donuts has made lots of changes and expansions since launching a little over three years ago; see the timeline below for the rundown. The latest bits of sweet news include extended hours in Somerville and a new presence across the river:
- As of yesterday, February 1, Union Square Donuts' Somerville shop is open seven days a week, finally adding Mondays. It's open 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends, and pickup and delivery orders are accepted.
- Yesterday also marked Union Square Donuts' debut at The Innovation and Design Building (21 Drydock Ave.) in the Seaport District — the doughnuts are available at the Triangle Coffee kiosk on weekdays at 8 a.m. (until sold out).
The farmers market season has slowed down for the winter, but the doughnuts can still be found at the indoor Boston Public Market by Haymarket (136 Blackstone St.) on Wednesday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and at the Somerville Winter Market at the Armory (191 Highland Ave.) on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
