A new restaurant serving American fare debuts today in Dorchester, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. The owners of Shenannigans in Southie are opening Dorset Hall at 367 Neponset Ave., in the former Boston Party Rental space.
Dorset Hall will have two floors and ample seating for 265 people, with a bar on each floor, as previously reported. Owners Paul Adamson and Mark Cummings initially planned to call the place The Dorchester but landed on Dorset Hall after combining "Dorchester" and "Neponset," according to the Dorchester Reporter.
The restaurant has a Facebook page but does not appear to have a website yet. It will serve lunch and dinner, in addition to alcohol, having acquired a liquor license from a former neighborhood bar in Brighton.
Dorset Hall was renovated from its previous purpose with the help of Sousa Design, an architectural firm, the Dorchester Reporter noted. The interior features industrial-style lighting, and the owners said they hoped to hire locally for around 40-50 new jobs.
