While a pizza place in Quincy awaits completion of renovations on its space in Adams Plaza, it is in the midst of permitting for its new location. Unchained Pizza has applied for a victualler license at 960 William T. Morrissey Blvd. in Dorchester, according to a City of Boston licensing board page, and is working towards a late spring opening, per a post on the restaurant's Facebook page.
Unchained was forced to close in February last year after the roof collapsed at a neighboring UPS store in the plaza. The Unchained space was later demolished, and it now appears that the entire building is being reconstructed, and Unchained has signed a lease and developed new plans for the space when renovations are complete.
The restaurant has thoroughly documented updates on its social media and website, and while it awaits completion of the Quincy building, it is moving forward with the Dorchester location, which is on track to open this spring. If Unchained's license is approved, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Adams Plaza location could be back by fall 2016.
Unchained's menu includes basic pies like cheese and pepperoni, plus a range of specialty pies, including the Baja chicken, Margherita, Hawaiian, Mediterranean, barbecue chicken, and more. The restaurant also offers gluten-free crusts, plus subs, salads, calzones, wraps, wings, and a bunch of classic appetizers.
