Theater-goers in Boston will have to find a new place for Indian food now that a 12-year-old restaurant has closed up shop. Tantric India Bistro (123 Stuart St.) announced the closure on its website and on social media, thanking guests for years of service at their restaurant.
The website message read, in part: "It is with deep regret that we have to inform you that we have closed and are no longer in service. Our heartfelt thanks for your past dining visits over the years, and your many kind and complimentary words and encouragement, and we wish you the very best in your journeys. With warm regards from your friends at Tantric."
The restaurant officially closed on January 23. Tantric was known for its southern Indian fare and some Indo-Chinese dishes, plus classic entrees like korma, vindaloo, and biryani.
