An Arizona-based maker of British pasties just opened its first East Coast location in Boston’s Back Bay and is already making moves to add another location in the area, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. Cornish Pasty Co. could open a second restaurant in the Seaport District near Fan Pier.

Cornish Pasty took over the former Boston Indian Kitchen spot in Back Bay earlier this year and opened its doors there in early October, as previously reported. Now, it is pursuing a beer and wine license for a restaurant space at 53 Northern Ave. in Seaport, according to the Boston Herald’s Donna Goodison.

If it is successful in securing the license, there will be another spot for veggie- and meat-filled pasties in the area. Cornish Pasty Co. also serves soups, salads, and more, in addition to its lineup of giant pasties.
