A swapping of two notable local sports bars continued this week with a transition in Boston’s Seaport District. Tony C’s Sports Bar & Grill is now up and running in the former Jerry Remy’s restaurant at 250 Northern Ave, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.

This change has been a while coming: Tony C’s replaced the ever-popular rooftop location of Jerry Remy’s in Fenway this past April, as previously reported, and at the time, there was already talk of the Seaport swap. Jerry Remy’s retains its presence in Logan Airport and in Fall River, while Tony C’s has addition locations in Somerville and Burlington.

The Cronin Group, which owns the Tony C’s brand, also oversaw the Seaport Jerry Remy’s, and the transition is now reflected on the Tony C’s website, which lists the restaurant’s locations. Tony C's is named in honor of former Red Sox player Anthony "Tony" Conigliaro.
