A new location of Craft Beer Cellar is finally ready to open nearly two years after plans were first announced. CBC Roslindale will open on January 14 in the Roslindale Substation, with a ribbon cutting ceremony and entertainment from Boston’s favorite furry musician: Keytar Bear.
Back in March 2015, the owners of Roslindale’s historic street car substation, which was built in 1911, made a deal to bring CBC into the building. Craft Beer Cellar will celebrate its opening starting at 11 a.m., offering swag bags to the first 106 customers who stop in, paying homage to the number of years since the substation was built. There will be tastings scheduled throughout the day, and Keytar Bear will play from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Craft Beer Cellar has two other locations in Boston proper and many more in the Metro area and beyond.
The substation is situated at the corner of Cummins Highway and Washington Street, and it will also be home to a new restaurant from Chris Douglass (Ashmont Grill, Travolo) called Third Rail.
