Tensions ran high at a Chuck E. Cheese’s in Everett this past weekend when a group of adults found to be drinking alcohol at the children’s play restaurant became aggressive after police arrived to wrangle them. Five people were arrested for assorted charges of disorderly conduct and assaulting police officers, NECN reported.
On Saturday, December 17, officers responded to the restaurant at Everett’s Gateway Center, following reports that adults there had been consuming alcohol, which is prohibited onsite in Everett, according to Yelp, though there are some locations that serve (and even encourage) alcohol.
Officers arrested Samuel Ramos, 33, who became belligerent, while others riled up the crowd, prompting a handful of patrons to attack the responding officers, according to Metro. Four others were arrested: one for six outstanding warrants, and the other three for assault and battery on a police officer and disorderly conduct. All five were arraigned on Monday.

Update, 2/21/17, 10 a.m.: For the second time in the last three months, the Chuck E Cheese’s in Everett was the site of a brawl. An argument between adults at the restaurant on Monday escalated to such a level that an object was thrown and two people, a pregnant woman and a child, were hospitalized, according to FOX25. The incident is reportedly under investigation.
Update, 4/18/17, 10 a.m.: Chuck E Cheese’s in Everett has once again been involved in some violent activity. WHDH reports that two women leaving the Everett restaurant’s parking lot in a minivan were followed and shots were fired at the vehicle. Both women were taken to the hospital and one was reportedly treated for facial injuries from shattered glass.
