An Israel-based chain of cafes plans to expand to the U.S. and will open a location in New England. Landwer Cafe has dozens of restaurants in Israel and is hopping the Atlantic to open two more in North America: one in Toronto and one in Boston, as Boston Restaurant Talk reported.
Landwer Cafe specializes in Mediterranean fare and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, in addition to coffee. Breakfast features egg dishes, labnah with za’atar and chickpeas, shakshouka, museli, and pancakes. Lunch includes everything from salads and sandwiches, to pizzas, and there are dishes like roasted eggplant with tahini, lentil stew, and so much more. The cafe is currently hiring a general manager and an executive chef for the Boston location, according to a posting on BostonChefs.com.
Eater has reached out to the cafe to learn further details about when it will arrive in Boston and will post any updates when they are available.
