A new spot for drinking beer springs forth from a popular brewery in Framingham today. Springdale Barrel Room opens its doors and pours out a number of barrel-aged beers at 4 p.m. today, adjacent to Jack’s Abby Brewing, where it has its roots.
Springdale will not serve exclusively lagers, as its older sibling does, but instead will focus on barrel-aged, sour, and experimental brews, as previously reported. While it is a different concept, it’s still very much tied to Jack’s Abby, and it will fill growlers from the neighboring spot, as Boston Magazine reported.
Located at 102 Clinton St., Springdale Barrel Room is a huge growth opportunity for the five-year-old Jack’s Abby: The Springdale beer hall seats 100 and has 12 draft lines with 25,000 square feet of space for production and storage of barrels and fermenting setups. Additionally, Springdale has a section for bar and arcade games, including shuffleboard, pinball, and many more.
Beers that will be on tap for Springdale’s opening include Cuvée de Bandwagon, a dry-hopped golden sour beer; Kriek Mythology, an oak-aged sour with cherries; and Slanting Light, an oak-aged beer with plums.
Oh, by the way, we are open today. Check out our tap list! #itsallgoodinthewood #ipa #sour… https://t.co/ZQVVKEy5nc pic.twitter.com/43pS6ER2kp
