A Philadelphia-based beer bar will make its grand debut in Boston for a particularly festive evening. City Tap House officially opens at 10 Boston Wharf Rd. on December 31 and will celebrate the occasion alongside the new year, according to a post on Facebook.
Though technically a soft opening, per the restaurant’s website, the New Year’s Eve opening comes more than a year after Boston first learned City Tap House would expand its reach to the Seaport District.
The gastropub will occupy the first floor of a six-story building on Boston Wharf Road, filling 2,000 square feet of space with a bar and plenty of beer. With existing locations in Philadelphia, Washington, DC, and West Palm Beach, City Tap house offers plenty of American pub food alongside a massive list of craft beers. Boston’s selection includes 60 beers on tap, three nitro versions, and 40 different craft brews by the bottle.
Meanwhile, the food menu includes brick oven pizzas, mac and cheese, wings, burgers, and so much more. City Tap House opens for dinner service at 5 p.m. on December 31 and will have a brunch preview on January 1 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. The restaurant will have limited hours during the month of January, operating Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m.
