New Restaurants Head for the North Shore

A couple new restaurants are in store for the North Shore, and one is an expansion of an existing concept. A second location of Evviva Cucina is slated to open in Beverly towards the end of January, and a new spot called Brick & Ash is headed for Newburyport.

Evviva Cucina specializes in Italian cuisine and has an existing location at 7 Cornerstone Sq. in Westford. Its new location will be in Beverly at 45 Enon St., and it is on track to open in late January, according to a Craigslist post calling for new employees. The menu features scratch-made dishes, including pizza, sandwiches, and pasta, as well as craft beer, cocktails, and wines.

Up in Newburyport, Brick & Ash is also preparing for its opening by hiring employees. The place is connected to The Poynt in Newburyport, and it is still under construction with a plan to open by the end of the year. Brick & Ash will be located at 10 Center St., and it will be a casual spot with "a strong BBQ presence" on the menu, according to a post on its Facebook page. There will be a bar and dining room space, along with pool tables and a dart board. An announcement regarding the official opening date will be coming soon.
