On Wednesday, November 16, Eater will present the 2016 Eater Awards, our seventh annual celebration of all that's made the restaurant world run — and run wild — in the past year.
Winners will be selected in five categories on both the local and national levels, and voting in the second category begins right now: Boston’s Chef of the Year. All nominees debuted exciting new restaurants this year. Who has made the biggest impact on the local dining scene?
Cast your vote for this year’s top chef below. (Voting is now closed for yesterday’s category, Restaurant of the Year. Stay tuned for the winner.)

Here's how the voting works this year: Eater editors in each city have named nominees for each of five major categories. Editors will pick a winner in each category — those will be announced on November 16 — and readers will vote to award one nominee in each category with a readers’ choice award. Ready to play your part? This poll will be open for 24 hours (until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9); voting irregularities will be strictly policed. Come back each day this week to vote in the rest of the categories.
