A longtime Cambridge restaurant has officially reopened its doors in a new space after being forced to relocate from its original home. Baraka Cafe is back in business, now located at 1728 Massachusetts Ave., just outside Porter Square, as Boston Restaurant Talk reports.
The cafe, which specializes in North African cuisine, left its home at 80 1⁄2 Pearl St., near Central Square, at the end of September, following the death of the building’s owner. Baraka Cafe was able to take over the former Boca Grande Taqueria space, and the owners made some updates to the interior.
Baraka Cafe serves lunch and dinner, pulling from the cuisines of Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, and other spots in the Mediterranean. Dishes include meze, couscous, smoky eggplant, harissa salad, and much more.
