A local chain known for catering to sports fans has opened a new restaurant in a mixed-used development west of the city. Tavern in the Square is now up and running at The Point in Littleton, bringing a long beer list, cocktails, and comfort food to the complex.
The first Tavern in the Square opened in 2004 and there are now 10 locations scattered around eastern Massachusetts, including restaurants in Cambridge, Allston, Salem, and elsewhere. This newest restaurant at The Point is located at 810 Constitution Ave. near I-495 and Route 119 in Littleton.
"This location is important for our expansion because it highlights our tenth location in a high-demand market. The community has offered us a warm reception and we couldn’t be more pleased," CEO Stephen DeSousa said in a release.
The new restaurant seats 360 and has a full bar with 50 drafts and a menu full of hearty dishes like sweet potato poutine, clam chowder, chicken pot pie, burgers, sandwiches, and more. This location of Tavern in the Square has been in the works for more than a year, and it joins Chris Frothingham and Marcus Palmer's Great Road Kitchen at The Point, along with Starbucks and other eateries.
