A chicken chain specializing in a varied array of chicken wing flavors opens its second location in the Boston area tomorrow, just in time for some mid-week snacking. Wingstop makes its debut in East Boston’s Central Square at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, bringing regular and boneless wings, chicken tenders, and plenty of sauce to the neighborhood.

The chain was founded in Garland, TX in 1994 and has since opened more than 900 locations around the world. There has been chatter about Wingstop opening restaurants in the Boston area since 2008, and prior to the opening of Wingstop’s Medford location in July, the closest store to Boston was in Connecticut. With 11 flavors ranging from barbecue and teriyaki to lemon pepper, garlic parmesan, and atomic (yes, very spicy), Wingstop also serves sides like fries, beans, cole slaw, and more.
