Kendall Square welcomes a new restaurant to its ranks today with the addition of Glass House at 450 Kendall St. The shiny new eatery comes via The Briar Group, which also includes Anthem Kitchen + Bar, Solas, The Harp, and Ned Devine’s, among other restaurants. Glass House offers casual American fare

Ben Hennemuth, formerly of Anthem Kitchen + Bar, leads the kitchen team at Glass House, offering a menu of sandwiches, shareable plates, raw bar items, and much more. There's also a hearty cocktail list, 20 draft beers, and wines by the glass.

The restaurant spans 6,500 square feet and includes a private event space, a central bar and dining area, and a patio with a bar and a fire pit. The restaurant’s name pays homage to Kendall Square, which was once a glass-making hub of the nation. (Also, there are some big windows at the restaurant.) Glass House will be open for lunch and dinner.
