A restaurant near Faneuil Hall will shut down later this month, leaving a prime restaurant space in the heart of Downtown Boston, as Boston Restaurant Talk reports. Hillstone, which is part of a larger national restaurant group, has reached the end of its lease at 60 State St., according to multiple tips Eater has received.
An employee reached at the restaurant Friday confirmed the closure and said the restaurant would end its tenure on October 15. As of now, Hillstone is not looking to reopen in a different location in the area.
Hillstone is known for its hearty entrees, including large salads, burgers and sandwiches, and dishes that range from pan-roasted Scottish salmon to barbecue pork ribs. The restaurant also serves sushi and has a selection of wines. There are other Hillstone locations around the country in Florida, New York, California, Texas, Arizona, and Colorado. Its parent group, Hillstone Restaurant Group, also oversees Houston’s, plus 13 other restaurant entities.
