Everett’s Fermentation District will grow early next spring when an established beer company opens its own tasting room. Down the Road Beer Co. has acquired a 12,000-square-foot facility near Night Shift, Bone Up Brewing, and Short Path Distillery, and it will install a brewing system and canning line in addition to a taproom, according to Boston Magazine.
There will be 4,000 square feet set aside for the brewery’s taproom and retail area, and down the line, there may be an outdoor beer garden or even a roof deck. The brewery’s founder and owner, Donovan Bailey, plans to have the buildout of the space complete by December, he told Boston Magazine, while continuing its existing contract brewing partnerships.
Expect communal-style seating, 10-16 draft options, and a space to purchase growlers and merchandise, along with arcade games and live music.
