A Newton restaurant that specializes in Cajun-style seafood has its sights set on expansion and will add a new location in Quincy. Shaking Crab is headed for Cottage Street in Quincy Center, according to Boston Restaurant Talk, bringing with it a lineup of spicy seafood.

Shaking Crab offers all kinds of seafood, from Alaska king crab to mussels, shrimp, crawfish, lobster, snow crab, and more. The restaurant — which first opened towards the end of 2015 and has another location in Flushing, NY that opened this summer — has its own signature blend of spices. True to the restaurant name, the seafood gets shaken in the spices and served in the bag.

There are a couple of other recently opened restaurants in the area that have a similar concept: Holly Crab in Allston and Loui Loui Louisiana Seafood in Stoneham, which will also open a location in Allston.

Shaking Crab will join an area of Quincy that has seen a number of changes in its restaurant community within the past year, with the addition of new places like 16Cand forthcoming restaurants like Zef Cicchetti & Raw BarFive GuysPho PasteurBelfry Hall, and more.
