A new spot for seafood is now officially open in Duxbury, serving up a whole bunch of oysters, just as its name implies. The Oysterman Raw Bar and Tavern opened at 30 Railroad Ave. on Tuesday, according to a post on its Facebook page, unveiling a newly renovated building and a selection of seafood-centric dishes.

Early reviews of the restaurant on Facebook were positive, with guests praising the staff, the "art in a glass" cocktails, and the food offerings. Menu items at The Oysterman include Brussels sprouts, fish tacos, steamed mussels in coconut curry sauce, and a vegetable risotto with scallops, along with oysters, of course.

The Oysterman worked to hire staff in September, as previously reported, after completing renovations to the space that was formerly home to Yo Taco. Photos of the renovation show a gutted building turning into a subway-tiled seafood spot.
