A new brewery with a fitting name for its hometown could start pouring pints within the next month. Start Line Brewing, situated about a mile away from the Boston Marathon starting line in Hopkinton, is getting settled into a taproom at Water Fresh Farm, according to Boston Magazine.
The brewery’s operating manager, Edwin Twinney, told the MetroWest Daily News the goal is to open the taproom at 151 Hayden Rowe St. mid-November. Start Line is working to secure a farmer-brewing pouring permit and already has the necessary license to sell products for off-site consumption. Water Fresh grew hops for Start Line’s beers in hydroponic greenhouses.
There will be a 560-square-foot tasting room, along with space inside the Water Fresh Farm Marketplace and seasonal patios for sampling four-glass tasting flights or beers by the glass. Start Line Brewing will eventually operate Wednesday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
