A local sandwich shop that has been around for more than a decade plans to add a new location to its existing shops. Al’s Cafe will be opening soon in Cambridge’s Technology Square near Kendall, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.
Al’s has two existing locations in Downtown Boston and a third in Woburn, which opened in 2014. Its fourth location in Harvard’s Holyoke Center was forced out due to construction at the campus center, but Al’s will be four strong again with the addition of this Technology Square cafe.
A sign up at the forthcoming Al’s reads "Coming soon! To Tech Square," according to a tip on Twitter. The cafe is known for its wide selection of hot and cold sub sandwiches that come in small and large sizes. Al’s also serves soups and salads and offers a "bag lunch" that comes with chips and a soda.
