A new member is almost ready to become part of a family of restaurants in Greater Boston. The Local Kitchen and Drinks in Woburn is in the midst of final preparations and will soon join other existing locations in Newton, Wayland, and Wellesley, according to a post on Facebook.

Each location of The Local Kitchen and Drinks serves a hearty menu of appetizers, salads, flatbread pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, pastas, and entrees ranging from blackened chicken quesadillas to spicy stir-fried noodles and chimichurri skirt steak. There are also desserts — including pie, sundaes, sorbet, and skillet cookies — in addition to a kids' menu, a wide range of gluten-free options, and a brunch menu. The Local’s beverage list includes a selection of red and white wines, beer, and cocktails.

The Woburn restaurant is slated to open at 350 Cambridge St., in the former Masa space.

Update, 10/19, 11:20 a.m.: The Local is shooting for an early November opening, according to a message from the restaurant. Remaining work to be done includes floor, carpet, and furniture installations, plus hiring employees.
