A Texas-based fast-casual chain that specializes in Mediterranean fare will open a location next month in Boston’s Financial District. VERTS Mediterranean Grill has 33 locations in Texas, and this new location is the first of its planned expansion to the East Coast.
VERTS will be opening at 95 Summer St. on November 4, as Boston Restaurant Talk reported, unveiling its build-your-own menu of pitas, wraps, salads, and rice bowls. The protein elements of the menu include falafel, beef and lamb, chicken, and beef meatballs, while toppings include everything from cabbage, tomatoes, and pickled jalapeños to lemon, grilled corn, and quinoa tabouleh. There is also a selection of scratch-made sauces to top off the dishes.
The restaurant’s founders Michael Heyne and Dominik Stein first opened the chain in 2011, and it is now one of the fastest-growing fast-casual chains in the country.
