A new seafood restaurant is coming to the North End, taking over the space at 326 Commercial St., where Davide Restaurant operated before closing in December 2013, two years after appearing on Kitchen Nightmares. Il Molo, a self-described "serious seafood" spot, appears to be a revised concept from Donato Fratarolli of Lucia Ristorante & Bar.
Fratarolli previously planned to open an Italian steakhouse called Donato & Gianni at that address. This new concept, Il Molo — meaning "the dock" in Italian — will feature "New England focused Seafood with Italian/Mediterranean influences," according to the restaurant's now-active Facebook page.
