Dorset Hall aims to open in the middle of next week at 367 Neponset Ave. in Dorchester, reports the Dorchester Reporter, and it will serve American cuisine. Located in the former Boston Party Rental space, the restaurant will span 5,300 square feet over two floors, with seating for 265 and a bar area on each floor. (The liquor license came from Joey's in Brighton, which closed in summer 2014.)

Owners Paul Adamson and Mark Cummings are also behind Shennanigans Pub in Southie and Assembly in Quincy. When the new project first came to light in summer 2014, it was going to be called The Dorchester, but the name Dorset Hall "blends the names Dorchester and Neponset," according to the Reporter, along with referencing the English county of Dorset, which is where the town of Dorchester is located.

Dorset Hall will serve lunch and dinner.
