Longwood Medical Area isn't filled with a spectacular amount of dining options, but at least now there's Boston cream pie. The Longwood Galleria (400 Brookline Ave.) — which features a food court with options like McDonald's, Subway, and Sakura Japan — now includes a Boston Cream Pie Company kiosk.
In addition to a traditional Boston cream pie (chocolate-covered, cream-filled yellow sponge cake), the Company also offers Boston cream pies topped with broken up peanut butter cups, Oreos, and more.
The Boston Cream Pie Company has been around since 2014, founded by husband-and-wife duo Tim and Heidi Michaud. The kiosk at the Longwood Galleria is open from noon to 7 p.m. daily and noon to 6 p.m. on Saturdays; it's closed Sundays. During the summer, Boston Cream Pie Company vends from a tricycle named Oregon on the Rose Kennedy Greenway. One day, there may be more trikes — keep an eye out.
