Another brewery is jumping into the mix in Somerville. Winter Hill Brewing Company, formerly known as Indignant Brewing Company, is in the midst of warming up its tanks to brew barrels and barrels of craft beer.
Winter Hill has thoroughly documented its progress on Facebook, revealing equipment installations and tile-laying in the space at 328 Broadway. Now, the brewery is putting out little teasers, hinting at how soon frothy beverages will be flowing from its tap lines. According to one post, the place could be open as early as mid-February.
The brewery placed its first order for raw ingredients in early January, meaning it is getting ready to brew. There's more planned for the brewery though — the owners plan to have a coffee bar, serving "high-end, ethically sourced coffee and espresso," with some sit-down space and to-go items.
As far as beer goes, Eater previously reported that Winter Hill would serve quite a variety, including "traditional, experimental, intensely hoppy, easy drinking, high ABV, malty, American, Belgian, sour, barrel-aged." Stay tuned for an official tapping date.
