The Berry Tavern Opens Soon in Danvers

The restaurant is now hiring.

A brick oven-fueled kitchen and bar is on the brink of opening in Danvers. The Berry Tavern is hiring employees more than a year after acquiring a full liquor license for the 2 High St. restaurant.

post on Craigslist indicates a number of job openings to fuel the "family oriented atmosphere" at the tavern, including servers, bartenders, cooks, dishwashers, bussers, managers, and — giving a hint of the food to come — pizza cooks.

The Berry Tavern's Facebook page indicates that it is a "brick oven restaurant and bar." It reportedly takes its name from Berry Tavern, which used to stand in Danvers Square and is pictured in the tavern's Twitter profile.

The people behind The Berry Tavern are chef Joseph Bono and George Tsatsis, of Al Dente and Benevento's, according to The Salem News, which reported that the restaurant will be able to accommodate 100 people and will have some outdoor seating.
