This June, a new restaurant will make East Cambridge's beer-filled dreams come true. World of Beer will reportedly take over the space of the now-closed California Pizza Kitchen at CambridgeSide Galleria, bringing more than 500 beers and a tavern-style menu to Greater Boston.
A Chowhound user reported the CPK closure, and a representative for CambridgeSide confirmed that World of Beer will be opening at the complex this summer.
World of Beer previously planned to open a location in Davis Square, but those plans fell through. The company later solidified a commitment to a Boston area location last year, though specific details were not disclosed at the time.
The Florida-based chain has more than 50 locations across the country, with a handful of new restaurants set to open soon. The closest location to Boston is in West Hartford, Connecticut.
In addition to its vast selection of beer, World of Beer serves pub fare, including German pretzels, mac and cheese, tacos, burgers and sandwiches, soups, salads, and more.
