A down-home, Southern-style restaurant is now open in Wakefield, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.
The Porch Southern Fare reportedly took over the Mola space at 41 Tuttle St. The restaurant has a Facebook page, but no website, and says it offers "Southern hospitality with all the fixin's."
Photos on The Porch's page indicate that the restaurant serves family-style chicken, pork, and meatloaf; assorted sandwiches and platters; and a selection of sides, including mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and biscuits.
The Porch has a chess pie for dessert, available by the slice or whole. There also appears to be a mouthful of an oyster mushroom po' boy, overflowing with pickles.
UPDATE, 1/15/16: The Porch is not yet open; it will open on January 20.
