A Top Chef contestant and a prolific restaurateur have teamed up and will unveil their latest venture tonight in Cambridge. The Table at Season to Taste is a farm-to-table restaurant focused on French cuisine in the form of a prix fixe menu, with chef Carl Dooley at the helm.
Dooley and Robert Harris collaborated on the concept, converting part of Harris' Season to Taste catering space at 2447 Massachusetts Ave. into a cozy setting for 20 guests at a time to enjoy their four-course meals.
In a previous interview with Eater, Dooley said they hoped to serve 40 to 45 people a night at the restaurant. Those numbers would keep the project focused and small, which holds great appeal for him.
Dooley, who previously worked alongside Tony Maws at Craigie on Main, is on the current season of Top Chef, and he is looking forward to delivering interesting dishes to guests at The Table.
The opening menu features three savory courses and a dessert, and guests have two options for each course. Here is the menu for tonight:
The Table is open from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and reservations can be made on the restaurant's website.
