Pizza Party Fridays have moved to their new home in Jamaica Plain: La Rana Rossa is now the official host, months after chef and owner Brad Brown started building up the concept at his other business, The Blue Frog Bakery.

La Rana Rossa first moved into the old Cafe Bartlett Square space a few months ago. The restaurant, located across from the Green Street MBTA station at 154 Green St., has been serving a menu of pastries, bagels, Blue Frog baked goods, breakfast, and more, and it is now on its way to fulfilling its destiny as the pizza-centric eatery Brown imagined.

The restaurant held its first Pizza Party Friday on January 8, featuring a variety of pizzas, including fresh mozzarella, tomato, and basil; four cheese; roasted mushroom, onion, and arugula; sweet Italian sausage and ricotta; Pizza Puttanesca with a spicy tomato sauce; Three Fine Meats with capicola, Genoa salami, and soppressata; and a shrimp pesto pizza.

La Rana Rossa will continue to expand its concept, as previously reported. The restaurant has started lunch service and will carry on with Pizza Party Fridays, recommending customers place orders by phone at (617) 524-5373.
