A sushi bar has opened a new location in Brighton, according to a tipster. The Japanese fusion restaurant Umai moved into the space formerly occupied by Jasmine Bistro, a French-Hungarian restaurant.

Umai opened its first location in Back Bay (224 Newbury St.), and its new location in Brighton (412 Market St.) is an expansion of the same concept — a melding of traditional and modern Japanese dishes. On its website, Umai currently advertises the grand opening in Brighton and offers 10 percent discounts to customers.

The restaurant serves lunch combos, bento boxes, udon soups, and salads, in addition to a variety of nigiri sushi, sashimi, maki, and more. Umai also offers catering and neighborhood delivery.

Umai's Brighton location is open Monday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
