After two years, a much-beloved Mexican restaurant is reopening in a new location today, bringing back burritos and tamales and some "Momma King" charm. Villa Mexico Cafe is opening at 121 Water St. in downtown Boston, and owner Julie King is ready to welcome customers once again.

King opened the first incarnation of Villa Mexico Cafe in Woburn in 1999, which later closed after a fire. She ran a catering company for a while before landing a space inside a Beacon Hill gas station, where she made a name for herself and earned the coveted honor of "best burritos in Boston." When the land owner where the gas station sat decided to sell the property in 2013, Villa Mexico closed once again, but not for good, as King managed to secure the downtown location and prepare a countdown to opening day.

In a page on Villa Mexico's website, King writes, "We are humbled and excited to open again, with the same passion and dedication for cooking great food for you — our customers, our friends!"

The menu at Villa Mexico includes those best burritos, grilled "the real Mexican way," tamales, flautas, and tostadas, and don't forget the cactus salad, topped with fresh Mexican cheese.

Here's a welcome from Momma King herself:

HI MY FRIENDS!!! #bestburritosback
