Brickstone Cafe will soon bring pizza to diners in Arlington Center, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. The cafe is the fourth restaurant from Bedros Kaya, who also owns Steve's House of Pizza in Bedford. He previously opened Gigi's Roast Beef and Pizza in Burlington, Massachusetts, and Jimmy's Cafe in Wellesley, which are both now closed.
Brickstone will serve wood-fired brick oven pizza, Kaya told Eater, in addition to Italian pasta dishes, sandwiches, salads, and chicken wings and tenders with 14 different sauces. Kaya received town approval to open and said he hopes to do so by October 10, give or take a day.
Final inspections will be done in the next week, Kaya said. Brickstone will open at 309 Broadway, in the old Ripples hair salon location, and will seat 15-20 people. Kaya said diners would be able to see flames from the wood-fired oven. According to the application, Brickstone will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week and will not serve alcohol.
