A Scottish-themed restaurant with Las Vegas roots will open in Fenway, as previously reported, and it will replace Copperfield's, Boston Restaurant Talk now confirms. Known for its Hooters-esque, kilt-wearing waitstaff, Tilted Kilt has faced challenges in pushing expansion toward Boston.
The restaurant attempted to open a Quincy location in summer 2012, but staunch opposition from a nearby church eventually shut down further progress on the deal. It is also working to open a location in Billerica, where it could replace Max & Dylans.
Tilted Kilt, a self-described "contemporary, Celtic-themed sports pub," according to its website, serves classic pub items, from "big arse burgers" to fish and chips, shepherd's pie, and "olde Dublin Irish stew." It is headquartered in Arizona, and its closest restaurant is in Nashua, New Hampshire, with other locations across the country.
